The constant bustle of a chattering crowd passionately trading, discussing business, and praying to a dancing rhythm. Jewish Warsaw of the 19th and 20th centuries. A relentlessly densely populated world between Grzybowski Square, Nalewki Street, and Bonifraterska Street. A world tightly enclosed by the walls of tenement houses with an endless labyrinth of inner courtyards. There, a colorful yet impoverished life unfolds endlessly in cramped workshops, eateries, shops, and houses of prayer. We will identify individual people, personalities, from this collective, learning their fate that led to annihilation. Not absolute annihilation. Memory cannot be killed. It lives on in places imbued with the spirit of a now-vanished community. Just listen closely, and the walls will begin to speak. We set off to encounter Jewish Warsaw. You can pay for the tour in cash as much as you wish after the tour.
We meet at 13:30 PM at Próżna Street 9. See you there!
